Christel Voeffray est une artiste plasticienne valaisanne. Sa pratique artistique s'articule principalement autour du médium du dessin et, plus récemment, de l'objet du quotidien. Son travail du pastel et du moulage de l'étain matérialisent et témoignent de mécanismes invisibles qui régentent la société et incarnent des rapports de domination que l’humain entretient avec ses congénères et son environnement.
Christel Voeffray débute sa formation à l’école Cantonale d’art du Valais à Sierre (Édhéa) à l’issue de laquelle elle obtient un diplôme de designer graphique. Après une année à l’Université du Québec à Montréal (UQàM), elle se forme à l’École de Recherche Graphique (ERG) à Bruxelles en dessin contemporain. Elle passe la dernière année de ce cursus en échange international au Centro National de las Artes (CENART) à Mexico City. Elle est diplômée de l’Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) en histoire de l’art et archéologie en option art contemporain. En 2022, elle est lauréate de la bourse de l’État du Valais (CH) Art Pro pour artistes émergent.e.s. En parallèle de sa pratique artistique, Christel Voeffray enseigne à l’École de Design et Haute École d’Art de Sierre (Édhéa).
Elle est membre fondatrice du facteur, collectif d’artistes (Gabrielle Rossier, Rémy Bender et Basile Richon) qui organise et participe à divers évènements culturels. Le groupe reçoit le prix culturel d’encouragement du Canton du Valais en 2022.

Christel Voeffray is a visual artist based between Valais (CH) and Brussels (BE). His artistic practice mainly revolves around the medium of drawing and, more recently, everyday objects. His work with pastel and tin casting materialize the invisible relationships that human beings have with the world by proposing new sensitive realities.
Christel Voeffray began her training at the Ecole Cantonale d'Art du Valais in Sierre (Édhéa), graduating with a diploma in graphic design. After a year at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQàM), she studied contemporary design at the École de Recherche Graphique (ERG) in Brussels. She spent the final year of this program on international exchange at the Centro National de las Artes (CENART) in Mexico City. She graduated from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) in art history and archaeology with a major in contemporary art. In 2022, she was awarded the State of Valais (CH) Art Pro grant for emerging artists. Alongside her artistic practice, Christel Voeffray teaches at the École de Design et Haute École d'Art de Sierre (Édhéa).
She is a founding member of Le facteur, a collective of artists (Gabrielle Rossier, Rémy Bender and Basile Richon) who organize and participate in various cultural events. The group was awarded the Prix Culturel d'Encouragement by the Canton of Valais in 2022.
